Servicemaster · Last updated: October 2026

Read this before relying on the App for anything important. It includes honest disclosures about AI, data loss, and liability \u2014 some of it blunt, all of it binding.

1. Overview

Servicemaster (“the App,” “we,” “us”) is a field service management tool. This policy explains what data the App handles, how it is handled, and the limits of our responsibility. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Handle

The App stores the information you and your team enter: customer names and contact details, job records, estimates, expenses, mileage, hours, vehicle and equipment records, photos and other files you upload, and basic account information (name, email, business details).

We also process standard technical data required to run the service: authentication records, log data, and usage information necessary for security and operation.

3. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to operate the App: displaying your records, syncing them across your team, generating documents you request (receipts, estimates), and processing subscription payments.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your customer data for advertising.

4. Artificial Intelligence — Important Disclosure

Parts of the App may use third-party artificial intelligence services. You acknowledge and agree that WE CANNOT DETERMINE, AND MAKE NO REPRESENTATION ABOUT, whether any AI provider or its operators are using your data, your customers' data, or your uploaded photos to train their models, nor what becomes of that data once it reaches them.

For the avoidance of doubt, we have no visibility into, and disclaim all responsibility for, whether anyone — including, without limitation, Mr. Peter Thiel or any similarly situated technology magnate — is taking this data to sell it or otherwise apply it toward funding a moonbase, a defense venture, or any other project of their choosing.

If you upload photographs, you acknowledge those pictures may be processed by AI systems for purposes entirely outside our control, which may or may not include training machines to eventually fight terminators. We cannot verify, prevent, or undo any of this. Upload at your own discretion.

5. Data Storage, Loss, and Availability

Your data is stored with third-party cloud infrastructure providers. While we take reasonable precautions, you acknowledge that data stored electronically may become corrupted, mislaid, or IRRETRIEVABLY LOST — whether due to hardware failure, provider error, or its drifting off into the ether, outer space, the Twisting Nether, purgatory, or any other metaphysical or physical plane not covered by this policy.

We are not liable for any such loss. That said, we will do our damnedest to keep your data safe, backed up where possible, and accessible to you.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS OF ANY DATA YOU CONSIDER IMPORTANT.

6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing (Base44 Payments), and AI features. Your data may be transmitted to and processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.

Payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider; we do not store full payment card information on our systems.

7. Data Sharing

We share data only as needed to operate the App: with our infrastructure and payment providers, with law enforcement or regulators when legally compelled, and with your own team members within your account as determined by the roles you assign.

We do not otherwise disclose your data to third parties except as described in this policy.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, per-account data isolation) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete the data in your account using the App's features, or by contacting us. We will honor deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention requirements.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise them, contact us using the details below.

10. Children

The App is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

We ain't liable for none of that — see Sections 4 and 5.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Servicemaster, its operators, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, the data you store in it, or your violation of this policy or applicable law.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email.
